Turn on cable news, and you’ll probably see one or two things within 30 seconds.

-       A really hot newswoman who’s easy on the eyes, and probably full in the sweater.
-       A rich old white guy commenting on a topic.

Go ahead and check.
I’ll be waiting here in the meanwhile…

What you just saw is the everyday routine of cable news.  Frankly, I’m extremely sick of the overall format.

There’s always some type of agenda being played out.  To top it out, the same ol’ guests are shown because god for bid there’s originality.

Oh, I didn’t mention how I think that cable news is, well, a cancer on society at times.  That’s something else for another day though.

I want to talk about a new type of show…a new type of format…something that’s a breath of fresh air.

HuffingtonPost.com is doing an online streaming newscast.  This isn’t a new concept.  Hell, I’ve been on at least two online newscast in the past.  Huffington Post however seems to have a much better formula in place.

Huffington Post Live uses their social media platforms in order to pull people into their show via live webcams.  So essentially, they have a round table discussion with everybody watching!  Everybody can have a voice.  Not just those “suitable” for television.

I watched about 45 minutes of the debut yesterday.  Was it perfect….oh hell no…is Huffington onto something…oh hell yes!

This is truly taking social media to a whole new level.

Also, for those who may not realize it; Huffington Post is strictly an online news site.  A successful one at that.

All simple ideas have to start somewhere.  Ask Google.
So they may be the best …hell the only media out there who can succeed with a formula such as this.

It’ll be interesting to see how this webcast progresses.  I definitely feel like something big is in the works.  Google started in a garage before they became the giant they are today.

We all have to start somewhere.  I’m sure as hell interested in where this will go one day.

So, the teams have been chosen, and it’s time to get dirty.

I’m not talking about Fantasy Football.  I am however talking about the presidential race.

Now I try to not, talk about any type of political propaganda here (which I fail at every now and again).  However I just need to spot light this race.

Not any particular party.
Not any particular person.
Just the whole damn race!

Look at it this way…

Barack Obama (D) = First President who’s African-American

Mitt Romney (R) = A Mormon presidential candidate, who by the way picked a very young running mate.

Gary Johnson (L) = A man who helped bring Libertarian ideas to mainstream America.

Jill Stein (G) = A female candidate who’s making her mark that a third party vote, is not a wasted vote.

* Ron Paul (R) = The old man was laughed at and wasn’t given much attention.  Yet, Dr. Paul hung in much longer than anyone expected.  Oh, yeah, he also inspired a whole generation on the small government movement.

Now, what’s the best part of this race?

No one is blinking twice at this!
People aren’t looking at race or religion.

Americans are looking at one thing; people to run this country to the best of his/her abilities!

Hopefully this can truly grow.
Hopefully by the time I have kids, I hope certain things like sexual preference, or status in a society/party aren’t an issue.

Here’s to the future, and may the best person win.

Oh yeah…by the way…AMERICA…FUCK YEAH!!!

* = I’m adding Dr. Paul in for the sake of a third party candidate and how he lasted in the GOP race.  Don’t like it?  Well tough shit.
